Welcome to the Centre of Excellence
The Operational Delivery Profession’s Centre of Excellence has been built with current and future leaders in mind.
The pillars of leadership, collaboration and knowledge have been used to structure the Centre of Excellence, so that you, as a leader, can find the expertise, resources and support that you need to lead.
The CoE is a space for ODP leaders to co-create and co-solve potential challenges, as well as understand how others have overcome issues within their own department and will be constantly evolving over time to ensure timely topics/issues are addressed.
Explore the content within the Centre of Excellence to find ideas and suggestions which you can implement within your department, as well as engage with colleagues from across the profession.

Making Public Services Work: Five Tenets for Operational Leaders
Paul Morrison and Prof Michael Lewis explore five key tenets for operational leaders in public service: focus on long-term value over short-term metrics, co-design services with users, align and shape capacity and demand, ensure efficient workflow to reduce failure demand, and lead cross-agency collaboration. These principles foster resilient, user-centred services that deliver lasting public value.
